Jibril Suleiman is a motivated and curious student who approaches both academics and personal interests with energy and determination. He plans to attend University of California, Davis as a Chemical Engineering student in the Class of 2030, where he hopes to continue expanding his knowledge and building meaningful experiences. Throughout high school, Jibril developed interests that extend beyond the classroom, balancing academics with activities that challenge both his mind and creativity. He enjoys playing soccer and values the teamwork, discipline, and commitment that the sport encourages. He also enjoys participating in hackathons, where he can explore technology and problem-solving in collaborative environments. Alongside these interests, he has a strong appreciation for history and chemistry, subjects that continue to inspire his curiosity. Jibril would also like to express his gratitude to Mrs. Kong, Mr. Mohamed, and Mrs. Liao for their support and guidance.

The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute (49ers SLI) provides multi-year, year-round academic support, STEM enrichment, skills training, and leadership opportunities to students in middle and high school. Students, who are with the program for six years from 7th through 12th grade, commit annually to 300+ hours of program learning time in addition to their typical school hours. By cultivating student mastery in STEM subjects and in key skill areas, the program prepares students for college and empowers them to pursue their passions; so that they may become the well-rounded leaders of the future. The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute is made possible by the strong partnership between Silicon Valley Education Foundation, 49ers Foundation, ASML, and the Santa Clara Unified School District.
