Amogh V.
Determined, Motivated, Resourceful
“Failure is only the opportunity to begin again. Only this time, more wisely.”
- Uncle Iroh

Amogh has been a part of the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute since he was in 7th grade. Throughout his six years in the program, he has grown to develop skills in both academics and teamwork. During his high school years, Amogh made sure to take as many rigorous AP and Honors classes as was feasible to ensure that he was being challenged by his curriculum. He saw these difficult classes as an opportunity to become more dedicated and disciplined while also improving his academic ability. Through his experiences learning to play classical guitar music for the past ten years, he learned the considerable importance of commitment and persistence. Wanting to give this opportunity back to his local community, he signed up as a volunteer teacher to teach guitar to underprivileged students in the Bay Area. Amogh is aiming to make a strong impact on his community, and he is seeking to do this through pursuing a career in Public Health. Outside of his academic work, Amogh enjoys playing and listening to music, going on hikes with his dog, and spending time with family and friends.
