Reeva Patel is a creative and driven student with a strong passion for robotics, engineering, and hands-on problem-solving. Throughout high school, she has been deeply involved in FIRST Tech Challenge, where she has spent years designing and fabricating robots while collaborating with her team. Her interests extend beyond robotics, and she enjoys exploring new experiences and developing practical skills through activities like yoga, military bootcamp, and automotive mechanic classes.

In addition to her technical interests, Reeva enjoys challenging herself with projects that combine creativity and innovation. She is especially interested in mechanical design, fabrication, and using engineering to solve real-world problems. Through STEM programs and leadership opportunities, she has developed a passion for turning ideas into functional prototypes and learning through experimentation.

Outside of academics and STEM, Reeva values curiosity and trying new things. Whether she is working on a design project, learning about cars, or stepping outside her comfort zone through new activities, she enjoys opportunities that allow her to grow both personally and technically.

The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute (49ers SLI) provides multi-year, year-round academic support, STEM enrichment, skills training, and leadership opportunities to students in middle and high school. Students, who are with the program for six years from 7th through 12th grade, commit annually to 300+ hours of program learning time in addition to their typical school hours. By cultivating student mastery in STEM subjects and in key skill areas, the program prepares students for college and empowers them to pursue their passions; so that they may become the well-rounded leaders of the future. The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute is made possible by the strong partnership between Silicon Valley Education Foundation, 49ers Foundation, ASML, and the Santa Clara Unified School District.
