Gauri Todur is an aspiring AI and robotics engineer. She has been tinkering with robots since third grade, and has captained the FIRST Tech Challenge Team Codo Dragons, a 10-time award-winning team, out of her garage since 9th grade. She loves tackling complex hardware problems.

She is also an avid researcher. In 9th and 10th grade she won a Regeneron ISEF Special and Grand Award respectively. Her projects have included a multi-year effort building an AI-powered pipeline which discovered 108 faint near-Earth asteroid candidates, and training a Vision Transformer model to discover gravitational lenses. She won the 2024 California Project of the Year and is the first from SCHS to be selected to compete at ISEF. She is an alumna of the MIT Beaverworks Summer Institute, exploring AI solutions to support remote-sensing teams during natural disasters.

Through her nonprofit Inspire League, she has taught LEGO robotics to hundreds of youth across Santa Clara, focusing on empowering girls. Outside of STEM, she is an advanced Bharatnatyam dancer and loves sewing dresses to bring creative ideas to life.

She is grateful for the resources and encouragement 49ers SLI has provided. Accepted to both MIT and Stanford, she will be attending Stanford this fall!
