As part of the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute (SLI) since 7th grade, Sravik Naga has developed and strengthened his skills as a critical thinker and problem-solver while nurturing a strong foundation in mathematics, physics, and chemistry.

Throughout his academic career, Sravik has dedicated hundreds of hours to the various fields of STEM, including the First Tech Challenge, Science Fair, and Independent Engineering Projects. Beyond the classroom, Sravik has given back to the community through weekly mentorship of First Lego League Teams at a local elementary school and hosting hands-on STEM sessions for elementary students in the Service Learning and Mentorship (SLAM) program. In his free time, Sravik enjoys working on his RC projects, which include designing and building remote-controlled aircraft from scratch—fueled by his passion for aeronautics and the engineering aspects of aviation. Sravik also enjoys playing soccer, cricket, and watching the NFL, NBA, and Sci-Fi movies.

Motivated by a longstanding passion for aerospace engineering, Sravik aspires to apply his understanding of the aviation industry to the development of next-generation aircraft that integrate innovative technologies.

The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute (49ers SLI) provides multi-year, year-round academic support, STEM enrichment, skills training, and leadership opportunities to students in middle and high school. Students, who are with the program for six years from 7th through 12th grade, commit annually to 300+ hours of program learning time in addition to their typical school hours. By cultivating student mastery in STEM subjects and in key skill areas, the program prepares students for college and empowers them to pursue their passions; so that they may become the well-rounded leaders of the future. The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute is made possible by the strong partnership between Silicon Valley Education Foundation, 49ers Foundation, ASML, and the Santa Clara Unified School District.
