Throughout her time at Santa Clara High School and in the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute, Nishita has participated in multiple events that have strengthened her love for STEM. During her high school career, she took part in FIRST Tech Challenge on Team Erudite, where she worked with underprivileged communities to foster the growth of STEM worldwide. Furthermore, Nishita has been involved in competitions such as Project Invent and passion projects where she helped introduce career pathways to students in Santa Clara. With guidance from STEM teachers and peers, Nishita had the opportunity to attend COSMOS where she further explored her interest in aerospace engineering.

Outside of SLI, Nishita continues to explore her other passions while building a balanced life. Over the past two years as co-editor-in-chief of ‘The Roar’, Santa Clara High School’s newspaper, she has cultivated her leadership, designing, and writing skills while working alongside the best people. With her free time, Nishita can be found playing the piano or at dance practice and performances. She hopes to continue pursuing her artistic side in college while preparing for a career in the space industry.
