Hanav Modasiya is an aspiring Artificial Intelligence researcher and entrepreneur with career goals on working on Artificial General Intelligence. His interests and experiences have thus lied in artificial intelligence with a specific fascination with neuroscience. Currently, he has been working as a research intern at UC San Francisco and is pursuing his academic career for the next four years at UC Berkeley to study computer science. His favorite class in school has easily been AP Psychology where he got to learn a lot about cognitive science, which informs his interests in computer sciences.

Outside of academics he likes to listen to music, hang out with his friends, or try out new foods or drinks. His favorite cuisines are Mexican, Indian, and Italian, and one of his favorite foods is lasagna. His favorite drinks are boba and lemonade. He also played for the schools’ tennis team for four years which were a memorable part of his high school experience.

The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute (49ers SLI) provides multi-year, year-round academic support, STEM enrichment, skills training, and leadership opportunities to students in middle and high school. Students, who are with the program for six years from 7th through 12th grade, commit annually to 300+ hours of program learning time in addition to their typical school hours. By cultivating student mastery in STEM subjects and in key skill areas, the program prepares students for college and empowers them to pursue their passions; so that they may become the well-rounded leaders of the future. The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute is made possible by the strong partnership between Silicon Valley Education Foundation, 49ers Foundation, ASML, and the Santa Clara Unified School District.
