Jean is an aspiring engineer who genuinely loves the challenge of a complex problem. This year, she will graduate from high school with an Associate’s Degree in math. As a member of the 49ers STEM Leadership Institute, Jean has spent much of her time as a primary builder for a VEX Robotics team and co-founder of Blueprint Collective to share her love for CAD with other students. With further participation in FTC, Project Invent, and Science Fair, she was honored as the 49ers Student of the Game in 2025.

Four years of her high school experience were dedicated to Marching Band, where she served as Woodwind Captain and played both clarinet and saxophone. Her passion for mentorship also led her to become a tutor at Schoolhouse World, where she’s enjoyed connecting with students from over 25 different countries.

Beyond the classroom, Jean stays busy as a second-degree Taekwondo black belt and a leader in Key Club and Tri-M Music Honor Society. She loves wood carving, 3D printing, and skating. Jean is excited to take the skills and memories she gained at SLI into her next chapter, where she plans to continue her career in tutoring and engineering.

The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute (49ers SLI) provides multi-year, year-round academic support, STEM enrichment, skills training, and leadership opportunities to students in middle and high school. Students, who are with the program for six years from 7th through 12th grade, commit annually to 300+ hours of program learning time in addition to their typical school hours. By cultivating student mastery in STEM subjects and in key skill areas, the program prepares students for college and empowers them to pursue their passions; so that they may become the well-rounded leaders of the future. The 49ers STEM Leadership Institute is made possible by the strong partnership between Silicon Valley Education Foundation, 49ers Foundation, ASML, and the Santa Clara Unified School District.
